About this blog
Immunology. Sounds intimidating, right? But it doesn’t have to be.
Often than not, science is kept behind the paywall set by journal publishers. Even if you can access journal articles, most of the scientific information is written in jargon, like Moore’s code that only scientists can read.
Yet, it doesn’t need to be like that. Immunology can be fun. It is a study related to so many diseases like infectious diseases, allergies, and autoimmune diseases. And we scientists are still figuring out how broad the immune system is involved in all sorts of diseases.
The object of this blog is to communicate immunology science in plain language. I will select a few journal articles on topics related to immunology and present this topic in a way you will enjoy reading.
About the author
I was born and raised in a middle-class family in Taiwan. Science for me was a remote concept as a child, yet it grew on me during my childhood. After finishing my baccalaureate education at National Taiwan University, I decided to pursue a Ph.D. at Duke University in 2017. Right now, I am a postdoctoral research fellow at Weill Cornell Medicine. I believe science is for everyone and can be understood and enjoyed by anyone.
